Cremation Grounds in Delhi: The List Families Use

Use this guide to shortlist a ground and check its requirements before the family travels. It covers selected Delhi grounds and a Noida option; it is not an exhaustive directory or a live booking system.

Official information to start with

NDMC's medical-services FAQ lists grounds near its area, including Green Park, Nigambodh, Lodhi Link Road and Punjabi Bagh. MCD also publishes a cremation and burial ground listing. Check the date on each entry: some availability records are old and should not be treated as a live slot confirmation.

Delhi grounds covered on this site

• Nigambodh Ghat: discuss the pickup location, preferred method and arrival instructions.
• Lodhi Road Cremation Ground: confirm the operating facility, paperwork and arrangements for ash collection.
• Green Park Shmashan Ghat: agree the exact meeting point and the ground's current requirements.
• Punjabi Bagh Shmashan Ghat: check the available method, queue and any materials the family must bring.

Noida and journeys outside Delhi

Garhmukteshwar and Haridwar involve a different journey. Clarify whether the family intends a cremation there or immersion of ashes after cremation. Confirm the ghat and local arrangements before departure.
